SHRIMPERS
By J. J. JENKINS (1811-1885)
Though shrimps are much more common
than prawns, they are harder to find, as
they are almost transparent. Besides
this, they have a way of scooping out a
furrow in the sand with their hind limbs.
and sinking into it. The long spike pro-
jecting from the top of the shrimps head
is quite smooth, while that of the prawn
has sharp little teeth on it. By feeling
this, one can easily tell the difference.
ON THE BACK OF THE CARD IS TEXT
