Rustic Pottery Vase Vintage Rockingham Glaze Brown Spongeware Bennington VT

Vintage yellow ware vase decorated with a dark brown Rockingham glaze.
The glaze is a type of drip or spongeware slip that is applied over the yellowware body of the vase.
This type of pottery is most often identified with the potteries in Bennington Vermont and has been made since the 19th century. This vase is unmarked and most likely dates to the 1920's.
It is in good pre-owned condition with no cracks or chips. There is a small "divot" on the shoulder of the vase that is glazed over and occurred during the firing. There is also some fine crazing in the clear glaze. (Please see photos)
The vase stands 7 1/2" tall and has a 2 1/4" inch opening at the top.
