ANTIQUE "STEVENS REPEATER“ CAST IRON CAP GUN 1930

Description

This “STEVENS REPEATER” cast iron cap gun was made in 1930. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 143(S40.1). This cap gun is 6 1/4 inches in length. It is a multi shot, double action, which means more than one shot can be fired before reloading, and pulling the trigger cocks and fires the gun. It takes a roll of caps and has a cylinder which doesn't rotate. The words “STEVENS REPEATER” are clearly embossed on both sides of the gun, and "MAMMOTH CAP" is engraved on the left side of the gun, and in very small letters, "MADE IN U.S.A" on the right side of the gun. This is a heavy solid cap gun in excellent condition. It appears to have never been fired. It is a beautiful steel grey. It shows slight fading on the right side of the barrel. This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
