ANTIQUE IDEAL "CHIEF" CAST IRON CAP GUN 1896****

Description

This “CHIEF” cap gun was made in 1896 with a 4 star rating for rarity. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 33 (C9.1). This cap gun is 5 1/8 inches in length. It is a single shot, single action, which means it has to be cocked every time to fire it. The word "CHIEF" is embossed on both sides of the gun. This gun is in very good condition other than the barrel shows some fading. Please refer to the pictures.
This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
