    Description

A mid century Bennington Pottery Terracotta Hen Chicken Tray Plaque 1814 D. Gil
For your consideration is this fun vintage Bennington Pottery chicken/hen & egg wall plaque or tray #1814. Designed by David Gil.
It is in overall good vintage condition but does have a small flake on the rear edge behind the beak and also a fairly shallow chipped/flaked area on the top rim. There are also a few tiny nicks here and there. These areas would not be readily noticeable or detracting when hung on a wall or placed on a surface but that are there. There are also a few marks (some darker, some light) on the surface from handling and use. There is an area near the bottom right that looks a bit mottled.
Please see pics. It does appear that it was really made to hang on a wall but I'm not sure what sort of hardware hook you would use to safely hang it. Another example online has the same indentation for hanging.
It measures approx. 13” X 12” x .75” deep and will weigh 5-6 lbs packed safely. Local pickup near Boston welcome!
    Thank you!
