6061T6 ALUMINUM, UNIVERSAL FIXTURE, JAWS, for 6 INCH KURT MILLING VISE

This is a version of a fixture I had to make for a job, as I could find nobody making anything like it.
I thought some of you may find them useful. Used it for holding a cam attached to a larger gear block.
It would be good for holding thinner flat, odd shaped, items or making a vertical V-block fixture.
I can machine simple profiles in the fixture for you if you send a print. If simple enough
there would be no charge
.
1-Size of the pair is approx. 4" x 6" x 1/2" thick. Other sizes can be made.
2-Doweled together with 3", hard, removable pull pins  (8-32 allen cap screw)
3-Spring loaded from 0.00" to approx 3/8" gap, longer springs can be used.
4-Made to be either put on bottom shelf of vise, mounted on parallels or they can be machined to have a shelf which
can rest on top of regular jaws
5-Material is 6061t6. Inquire for other materials.
6-To machine a profile all you have to do is remove springs and put a 1/4" washer on each side to create a small
gap then cut your profile, remove washers, reinsert springs and you're all set.
